► "The 7 Most Beautiful Bays of Arrábida"
Prepare to be amazed by the stunning coastal and mountain landscapes as you explore the local geology, flora and fauna. Led by experienced instructors, you will discover the region's natural and historical heritage as you complete each step of this unique adventure.
Activity details:
- ○ Briefing at the meeting point
- ○ The route sets off heading towards Alpertuche Bay/Beach.
- ○ Includes "Lapa de Santa Margarida", the Bay/Beach of the Pilots and the Forte/Museum of Santa Maria
- ○ Portinho da Arrábida Bay and shelter port
- ○ Stop at the WIND Sports Center at Creiro Bay/Beach
- ○ Visit to the Roman archaeological site (1st to 4th century AD).
- ○ A unique viewpoint of the Anicha's islet
- ○ Hiking along the Bays/Beachs of Coelhos, Galapinhos and Galapos.
- ○ Return to the starting point

► "Formosinho, the Top of Arrábida"
The Formosinho trail, at 501 meters altitude, passes through forests of typical Mediterranean vegetation, composed of woods, maquis, and garrigue. You will walk over limestone outcrops and breathtaking landscapes, preserved and of rare natural beauty.
Activity summary:
- ○ Briefing at the meeting point, in park near Arrábida's Convent
- ○ Passing by the Hermitage of São João do Deserto
- ○ Route continues to Formosinho Peak, the highest point
- ○ At the highest point of Formosinho, you can enjoy a 360° view:
- • North: Tagus River and Lisbon
- • South and east: Sado River, Tróia Peninsula, Setúbal, and Palmela
- • West: Serra do Risco and Sesimbra
- ○ We will follow along the western ridge, with views of the Vale dos Picheleiros to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south
- ○ Trail ends at km marker 6

► "Fojo dos Morcegos Route"
The Fojo route, between Serra da Arrábida and Serra do Risco, stands out for its impressive natural landscapes, with valleys of abundant native vegetation, rock formations, and towering cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is a complete hiking route, marked by natural diversity and geological and human richness.
Activity summary:
- ○ Briefing at the meeting point, Alto do Jaspe parking
- ○ Begin the trail with a visit to Brecha da Arrábida Quarry, "World Heritage Stone"
- ○ Descend to Fojo dos Morcegos platform and view the towering vertical cliffs of Serra da Arrábida (highlight)
- ○ Return via the iconic Polje from "Terras do Risco"
- ○ Discover some of the more than 30 species of wild orchids
- ○ Return to the starting point through vast maquis fields
